Seeking Relief from Back, Shoulder or Neck Pain?
You’re in good hands. Experience a new found sense of well being and freedom from debilitating pain. Increasing numbers of research studies (including studies at the National Institutes of Health) show that massage promotes circulation and lymph flow, accelerates healing after surgery or injury, improves joint range of motion and relieves repetitive strain conditions.
Chronic neck and back pain can be addressed by disabling trigger points- (areas of tissue congestion and tightness that impede blood flow to and from the tissues), restoring shortened muscles to their optimum length and reducing nerve irritation. A myofascial trigger point is a hyperirritable spot in a muscle that is associated with a palpable nodule that is painful on compression and can cause referred pain, tenderness and loss of range of motion. A skilled and well trained massage therapist can assess and treat these kinds of dysfunctions to help restore full function and ease of movement in everyday life.
Diana also provides lymph drainage therapy (LDT) to address post surgical bruising, pain and swelling, and to assist with injury recovery and stimulating immune function. LDT can assist in promoting general well being and in the body’s cleansing process, as a high functioning lymphatic system filters and removes waste from the tissues. See the LDT page on this site for more information.
